00:00:00 Speaker: Hello. I am so pleased you're here. This first episode is just a general introduction. I really want to help you understand what this podcast is about, and how you can get the most out of it. And it's really just a place for you to pause, pace, to regulate and to come back into your body, especially on days when things feel a little bit full or a bit chaotic. I know that most people live very busy lives, and there's a lot to keep up with. A lot of information, a lot of noise, a lot on your to do list. And I really didn't want this podcast to become another thing that you feel like you have to do to add to the list. I want it to seamlessly fit in with your day to day life, which is why I've made the episodes quite short so that you can just pop them in, weave them into your day to day to just help you reconnect. It's literally, I like to call it as an anchor. It drops you into the present moment. But ultimately these recordings are here to meet you where you are. So even when you're tired, even when you're distracted or even half listening, even if it's on in the background, it's an effortless way to just give yourself that extra support. So if you're new to this work, and by work I mean like language or what I like to call the intuitive voice, it's basically just a very gentle form of energy healing that bypasses the thinking mind and works directly with your energetic and physical body. Now, I really want to make sure I explain this in the best way possible, because it's so easy to have a closed mind because your conscious mind can't make sense of what I'm saying. But that is literally the point. So there's no meaning to translate. There's nothing to understand when I'm speaking these words or vibrations. And I think that actually has quite a relief. It can really mean that your conscious mind can just switch off and relax. It doesn't need to be here, doesn't need to be switched on. So the body basically receives what it needs without your conscious effort, in its own way and in its own time, is very intelligent and thankfully it doesn't need your help in that process. So rather than working through thought or interpretation, this work meets you with tone, rhythm, vibration, and sound, which the nervous system responds to long before the mind gets involved. So these recordings are not deep or really super intensive energy sessions. They're not designed to push you, activate you, or dramatically transform your life in ten minutes. I really just want you to think of them as a small grounding check ins, a healing helping hand. Just little soothing pauses that you can just weave into your day. You might only have five minutes to yourself in between things before you get to sleep. You know when you're dropping the kids off at school and you've got a minute in the car? Whatever it is, this is your moment to just take a little bit of care and time for yourself? You don't need long rituals. You don't need perfect conditions or lots of time, just you and a device to listen. So if you do want a longer experience so you can replay these same recordings, you can put it on a loop and play it over and over again. You can listen to it as many times as you like because it's so gentle. Um, so yeah, please use as much as you need, as long as it feels good. That's the signal to keep. Keep using it. It can also, though, be really beautiful to listen to these recordings intentionally. So you might want to lie down. Sit comfortably. Place one hand on your chest. One hand on your belly. Close your eyes and allow the attention to gently drop into your body. Headphones are really useful for that, but they're also not essential. You can also let these recordings just play in the background when you go about your day while you're resting, walking, cooking, or just doing something gentle. The body still is receiving the sound even when your attention drifts elsewhere. So intentional listening. Background listening. Anything and everything is fine. What matters most is that you feel safe and you feel supported. Not that you're listening to this in the right way, which, if I know my audience well, that's probably something that you're worried about. You want to do this perfectly, you want to get it right, but that just doesn't exist here. So you don't need to have any sort of effort or concentration. It is really more about allowing yourself to receive, which could be an issue for a few of you to just relax and let someone else take the reins. Let your body do what it is meant to do. Um, the most that you could possibly do is maybe just tune into the body and ask, you know, what sensations can I feel now? Where do I notice them? Is there warmth, coolness, heaviness? Lightness or movement. Sometimes emotions gently bubble up when we give ourselves a moment of space. Something. Sometimes nothing much happens at all. But like, both are fine. We're not doing this to release emotions, but if emotions come out in the process, then that is really beautiful. It's your body regulating to your body, coming back into alignment. Neutral experiences are still experiences. So I want to go a little bit deeper while I have you into the nervous system perspective. Because if you're a little nerd like me, I want to know the science along with the woo woo. So there isn't, unfortunately, a large body of scientific research that explains light language itself. We don't fully know where it originated from or why it emerges in some people. I believe that every single person has the ability to do it, that it is an ancient, ancient form of communication that all humans are capable of. But we've just basically unlearned it. And for some reason, whatever reason, it comes online for some people. What we do know though, and what is well supported, is that voice, sound, rhythm and tone can have a really powerful calming effect on the nervous system. The nervous system doesn't really respond primarily to words. It can, but it mostly responds to tone, pace, rhythm, vibration, energy. And we've seen this throughout history and across cultures. Humans have used sound as a way to regulate, connect, and heal. In many traditional and indigenous communities, rhythm, chanting, drumming, and nonverbal vocalization were just a part of communal life. It was a way of synchronizing nervous systems, strengthening connection and creating a shared sense of safety and connection. And I guess from a more anthropological and I can never say this word anthropological perspective. Sound has long been used in ritual and ceremony, in what we might call now is energy work. So while I don't claim lineage to any specific tradition. It's important to recognize that humans have always understood instinctively the vibration that affects the body, and even a more grounded perspective. You can see this in babies and how they respond to voice, energy, and intention within a voice. They don't understand the words that adults are using, but their bodies will immediately register. Safety, threat or calm. The body recognizes sound as information, and that's something we've known long before modern science began studying it. So this work, the Intuitive Voice podcast, it draws on that same universal human capacity we're using. Voice and vibration is a way to co-regulate to return to coherence. When the nervous system is under stress, which for many and most of us is pretty much constant, the thinking mind tends to take over. And if you are familiar with my work at all, I will constantly say move from the thinking mind into the feeling body and that is really our safe space. The thinking mind is filled with different aspects and parts of ourselves that isn't always on our side. They're not always on like part of a team. It scrambles for answers. It tries to fix, understand, plan and control even when the body is signaling. Clearly, those signals get drowned out by mental noise. And like a mistrust of yourself and a doubt, this is often where confusion, exhaustion, and overwhelm comes from not because the body doesn't know what it actually needs in those moments, but because the system is too busy to actually drop in and hear your intuition and your body its own intelligence. Now, sound based practices like the intuitive voice help quiet that mental interference. They give the nervous system kind of like a different input, one that doesn't require the interpretation of the mind. And over time, this creates space for the body's natural intelligence to come back online. Now, this might not happen straight away. You know, your brain will try to figure it out at first, but hopefully over time and with this intention that I'm explaining to you now, you can just allow the brain to soften and trust that your body is such an intelligent being and that knows exactly what to do with the audios that you're going to be listening to. So the benefits of listening to this can show up both immediately and over time over regular use. So if you're just using it as a one off experience, people can quite often sense a level of calm. Their breath becomes slower, they have less mental chatter, feel more grounded, and just more present in general. And you can sometimes feel some tingles or some warmth, because there is a very much an energetic component to this as well. Sometimes nothing happens at all, and that's often a sign that the system is simply resting and receiving. No matter what you feel when you listen to these. There's no right and wrong, but with more regular use, the effects can become more cumulative. So over time, this can support the nervous system. In moving out of chronic stress, your body learns how to move. Your vagus nerve gets has more tone, so you can move in between the states with with more ease. It can increase your capacity to stay present with sensation and emotion. And because we quite often want to run away from that, we don't like it when we feel emotional things that we can't explain in the body. But if you're listening to these audios and allowing your body to do its job, it kind of builds a safety in this trust and this co-regulation, it's also going to really reduce that feeling of constantly being on, because that constantly feeling on is when we've got too much trust and power on the thinking brain to do everything. Whereas this is really about strengthening the trust in your body's signals and intuitions. Like that's my main goal for you guys. And it's not because the sound itself is necessarily fixing you, it's because the system is being given repeated experiences of safety and simplicity to receive the sound, to do its own work. Because when you're busy and you're stressed constantly, the body is doesn't have time to heal. It doesn't have time to do what it wants. Sorry, what it needs to do. So more practically, you will notice that I've titled many of these intuitive voice transmissions around really common situations, behaviors, or feelings. And these are things that I have drawn on from my own clients and myself. As a highly sensitive person, I always think, what would I need help and comfort and soothing with? In fact, the time usually happens and go, okay, like, you know, this is happening to me. I want to create an audio that will help anyone that goes through this because I know if I'm going through it, then someone else is, and then that's strengthened through my client work as well, and some of the support that they need. So when you choose a transmission that reflects what you're experiencing, your system already knows why you're there. The intuitive voice helps quiet the thinking mind long enough for your body to loosen its grip on the familiar stress responses, protective patterns, and the stories that have formed around you. So as the nervous system regulates, the mind often follows suit. So limiting beliefs, false narratives, and negative stories about the self don't usually dissolve through effort or positive thinking or just pushing through. They really soften and ease when the body no longer needs them for protection. And that's how this work supports the mind. Not by constantly challenging those thoughts and fighting them directly, but it actually changes through the internal state in your body that quite often brings the thoughts on in the first place. So on an energetic level, you can think of this as Working with subtle information. It can sometimes be described as light codes, if that suits you and your beliefs. Um, but just know that your body is receiving information. If the word light codes don't doesn't resonate for you, and it's through sound and it's through vibration. So this work is really rather than adding something new, it's about removing interference, helping you come back to your authentic energy, the state you're in when you're not bracing and performing or holding yourself together. You know, I love to call this coming back home to yourself. We're not saying sorry and like trying to get you to live your best life. We're really just supporting your body to return to its authenticity. That's really the goal here. So no forcing, no pushing. Um, you know, just your body sets the pace here. Always. Like it's always about listening to you, listening to your intuition and what your body needs so you can return to these recordings whenever you need. Pause. You know there's no commitment required. Over time, you'll notice subtle shifts, a little more space, a little more ease, a slightly kinder relationship with yourself. Or you might just simply enjoy the sound. And that's enough too. So thank you so much for being here. I really hope this podcast becomes a small, supportive place you can return to to support you on your healing journey. And of course, if you are looking for something even deeper than this to deepen your practice, you can go to the Learning Studio at Peace Healing to get access to Jungian inspired lessons, meditations, journal prompts to really explore your inner world. And that's a constantly building, library growing library as well. There's going to be more nervous system support, bespoke nervous system support on there, as well as one to one healing. So when you're ready, I would love for you to get cozy and start to listen to a transmission of your choice.
